It has been a while. There has been quite a bit going on. The weeks got harder as far as the pregnancy is going, but now I have been feeling really good and am on WEEK 14! We moved over the weekend. The new place is much bigger and so far I love it. Though, we may have a ghost problem... Okay here is the story:
I left the apartment just a few minutes after Branden. We were going to separate places so I was surprised when I saw Branden still standing outside. He was having a conversation with a, well, strange looking man.
He was sitting on his small blue scooter, which his body was about 2 sizes too big for. He had on a think tan hoodie and a heavy looking backpack. His head was consumed by his hoodie, small helmet, and goggle-like sunglasses.
I was running late so I was just going to pass by without a word but before I could, the man asked, "OH! Does she go to UVU?" I was wearing my uvu shirt. "Yes I do!" I replied. "Well that’s nice, what are you learning over there?"
"Business" I said.
"Ah! Good for you!" he said with a pleasant smile. Then the conversation took a dramatic turn. His voice dimmed, and he scooted up on his seat as if to hint that he had something very intriguing just waiting to seep out of his mouth. "You guys know the story right, Of why you get to live there?" We answered with our eyes. "The person who lived there died!"
"Here we go," I thought to myself. Branden cracked a smile.
"The place started smelling real bad from the body," he continued, "Is it, uh, still smell bad?" Branden’s smile grew.
"Nope." I quickly replied with a smile, "smells great! They re-did the whole thing so it smells just fine."
He actually seemed relieved, but also confused by our smiling and lack of astonishment by the news.
"Well that’s good, that’s good." he said. "Yeah, and I guess they were having a pretty serious mold problem in there as well," he added with raised eyebrows(as if the dead body was not enough)He was hungry for a shocked response. “Have they uh... got that... all uh..."
I could not let him finish because I was going to burst into laughter if he kept going. So, to save face I explained, "Yep! No mold, no smell, it’s all great! We love it!"
Once again, he seemed pleased but confused. "Welp," he said as he re-started his little scooter, "You guys enjoy your stay!" With that, he zoomed off to his parking space. "What just happened?" I said through my laughter to Branden, "Don’t know" He said. I was really quite an amusing experience. We don’t know if what he said was true, but so far, I am happy to say, we have not seen any ghosts. So that is good.
