A Bunch of Random Stuff

TA!DA! I officially have a college degree!! It is an AS in Business, I am hoping to go back to school to do much more, but now my first priority is a little baby.

I just realized that I never informed my vast number of blog followers that I am having a Girl! We are very excited. I am now 28 weeks and have not posted a single bump picture, mostly because I am just plain lazy (cause taking a picture is that hard), but also because my belly looks different every day :)

I have, however, gained a monstrous amount of weight. I am still in the "healthy weight gain range" but only by like a pound. The other day we went to apply for wic. I stepped on the scale and when the number showed on the screen my face turned white. Branden suggested that I take my coat off... it did nothing to that number. Oh well, just another beauty to pregnancy.

I have found that when you are pregnant people do things that they normally would not. For one they often don't introduce themselves: This was an ever so present situation during our last visit to Boston. I love visiting Branden's home ward, but this time it seemed as though they all forgot that I probably had no idea who they were. I would have complete strangers walk right up to me and start up a conversation as if we were besties. I truly enjoy the friendship but the whole time that they were asking somewhat personal questions I would be thinking, "who are you? do they think I am someone else?". Nevertheless, it was fun to see how many people knew me and already loved me without me having to lift a finger.

Another thing they do is stare at your belly: This was also prevalent in Boston. At one ward party I was sitting in a chair enjoying the Christmas spirit when I noticed a lady just staring at me. Only, she was not staring at my face, she was looking directly at my belly. I tried to tilt my head down to give her a smile to break her trance, but this only worked for a second-- she went right on to the staring. This was somewhat uncomfortable. But I had a good laugh about it inside after I zipped up my jacket :)

The most notorious strange thing that people do to you when you are pregnant, is touch your belly. This has not been too much of a problem for me yet, but I do have a very defined bubble. So ask first.

Holy cow! while I was writing this my leg went numb. not my foot. It is my ENTIRE LEG! It hurts so so bad. AHHHH

Anyway, overall I really am grateful to have this baby inside of me. She kicks like a kangaroo all through the day and night. I LOVE to feel that little cutie kick, it makes me happy.

So, I will try to add a bump picture I suppose, but dont get your hopes up :)
Have a wonderful wonderful week!

  1. Congrats on the degree! How was I not told this when you were here? We should have celebrated! I'm glad you guys are doing well. I never touched your belly...I was tempted but held it in. :-)

  2. The degree was not official until after we got back, and I try not to make a big deal out of it since it is just an AS. But I was still proud enough to post about it ;)
