Dancing Safari Party

As most of you know, Isabelle and Kaylee turned one and two within a week of each other. What many of you do not know is that we might be (most definitely, I just don't want to admit it yet) will be moving to Alaska this summer (more on that later). So I decided a large dance party needed to happen.
So I threw one
and it was fantastic!!
It was safari themed. I had a ton of fun making the decorations and planning all out. Having a project helps me to stay sane. The space way pretty big, but it ended up working out just right.
The center pieces were all hand made by me :) Lisa and Hannah helped make the tables cute with streamers: I just handed them a bunch and said, "here, make the table cute." That ended up being a brilliant thing to say.

Kids table

The cake table was awesome!

The little animals were placed all around the room for the kids to find and take home.

Rebekah made the cake and cupcakes

We had about 30 people there- 30 awesome people :)
As the DJ said (in reference to our dancing), "what you lacked in quantity, you made up for in quality." He did not mean to say that we dancing like pros, but that we all danced like no one was watching, like we always do :)
It was a blast

YMCA

I had tons of fun, and I am really glad we did the party! it was fun to dance with my family and celebrate my little cuties. Thanks to everyone who came, and everyone who was there in spirit.

  1. WE WERE THERE! YEA! YOU NOTICED! WE WERE THERE! (In spirit) We prayed for you and the party for the past three days and yesterday Sarah was so so sad. We had to focus on our blessings of being an Aunt and Grandma even though we are so far away.
