I know there are a lot of questions, so I will start by answering the basics
WHO: who do I know that lives there? no one. But I know a lot of people, who know people :) I am open to any advice people have, so bring it on :)
WHAT: What am I going to do there? Just keep momming it up :) I plan on immediately acquiring a playgroup and some friends. I have moved many, many times in my life so I am actually pretty good at that, I am not worried.
WHEN: When are we going? end of July. We will be there for at least 2 years
WHERE: Where in Alaska? Anchorage, right in the middle of the city so I don't have to worry too much about bears and snow ;)
WHY: Why are we going? Branden will be finishing his bachelor degree, and maybe even getting a masters at Anchorage Alaska University.
HOW: How am I going to get there? We are driving the 3,000+ miles, yes with two babies. I know, its gonna be rough but I think we will manage just fine. Debbie is thinking she might come to help me out. Branden is probably going out early, and I really dont want to do the drive alone. We plan on taking about a week (maybe a little more) to do the trip.
Now for the big question I get asked most often: How do I feel about it?
Haha, I could write a book.
Overall, I am excited, nervous, happy, a little sad... well I am feeling just about every emotion
I really have been focusing on the positive aspect of it all and it should be an adventure. I love adventures :)
We are going to have to sell EVERYTHING we own, except for our car and what can fit inside. This is actually one of my favorite parts about the move. I love the idea of starting completely over.
