Michigan: Day 3

Michigan day 3- YardSale Flip

Every year the community that my mom lives in (people who live around Loch Erin) have a huge neighborhood yard sale. We broke into three groups of two, I was with Michelle. We were each given $20 to buy something to flip.
Michelle and I were feel ambitious and took on three projects This is what the two of us created:
Tacky Turtle with Potential
This was our first ever upholstery project it was sooo much fun to watch it come together. We used some scrap fabric, pink ribbon and leftover wall paint. Total cost- $3
We sanded out that scrapes on the wood, took off that terrible terrible fabric and, well, made it cute!

Out-of-Style Golden lamps and Boring Desk

This Project was REALLY fun! it was also our first time doing decoupage on furniture
We painted the Desk and Lamp, printed maps from 1890 of Michigan, New York, and Ohio, and turned these too boring pieces into something unique and beautiful

This day was especially fun for me because I got to spend the day doing something I truly love, with on of my BFFs :)
Thanks Michelle for the fun and the new skills.
