E 12,
This or next Sunday is the last Sunday that I will be attending my home ward:
The Edgemont 12th ward.
I have been in this ward since I was 13
I grew up in the 12th ward
I met my best friend in the 12th ward
I learned who I was and what I stood for in the 12th ward
I embarrassed myself beyond belief in the 12th ward
I learned to love in the 12th ward
I even did a crazy dance with the 12th ward
I served in the 12th ward
I have many adopted Grandmas in the 12th ward
Many of my heros are in the 12th ward
I did countless crazy, fun, and sometimes silly things with the 12th ward at girls camp
I was inspired
strengthened
and lifted
in the 12th ward
the 12th ward was at my wedding
the 12th ward brought dinners after both of my babies were born.
The 12th ward is part of my family
It has not hit me until just now, but I am really going to miss these guys!
A very large part of who I am is because of this ward; this group of amazing, slightly insane (you know who you are ;), totally inspired and Christ-like people.
and so, I want to say,
Thank you!
Thanks to every last one of you! I am so grateful for all of my leaders, teachers, and friends. The 12th ward has been a place where I could count on feeling peace and loved.
Never stop being you.
Especially you older folks. I learned so much just from watching you, and listening to your testimonies. Some of you helped me change for the better before I even knew your name. I love you all, and I am certain I will visit.
Stay strong. Stay friends.
What you are is priceless.
